The Longest Day is a unique 12-hour endurance track challenge for runners and walkers, offering both individual and team categories. This event is run on the grassed sportsfield at Collegians Club, 381 Boshoff Street, Pietermaritzburg.

Runners are required to complete a minimum of 80 km and walkers a minimum of 60 km to be an official finisher.

There are two lanes all approximately 1.5 metres wide. A lane lap distance varies depending on which lane you participate in.

You may only run/walk in the lane in which you are allocated.

Team runners may run any distance**, as many times as they wish, but must do at least 80 kilometers as a team. Team walkers must do at least 60 kilometers.

Please collect your race pack on the morning of the event from 5:00 to 5:40 in the Collegians Club Hall and thereafter the pre-race briefing will take place.
